Plantation and Bioproducts Researcher - Ratchaburi based, SCGP

Job Summary:

• Conduct research and development in plant breeding, plant biotechnology, plant tissue culture, and plant molecular biology to improve various crop species for higher yield and environmental stress tolerance, with a focus on commercial application.
• Perform research in both laboratory and field settings, including evaluation of technologies, standards, and relevant regulations related to plant variety development in Thailand and internationally.

Responsibilities:

1. Research and development in plant breeding of target commercial plants with desired specifications.
2. Develop and optimize efficient plant breeding techniques for business competitiveness.
3. Plan and improve field strain testing using modern technology such as cultivation and IPM (integrated pest management) in the closed systems, greenhouse systems and planting plots at various environmental conditions.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Plant Breeding, Agricultural Biotechnology, Agronomy, Horticulture, Forestry or related fields (GPAX > 3.30).
• 1-3 years of experience working in this field.
• Good command of English (TOEIC > 550).
• Knowledge in plant breeding (conventional and molecular), agricultural biotechnology, crop and tree improvement, cultivation, and forestry.
• Able to work full-time in Ban Pong District, Ratchaburi Province.
