Automation Development Engineer - Ratchaburi-based, SCGP

Job Summary

Responsible for design, development, and integration of automation systems and machine solutions to enhance productivity and manufacturing efficiency, working closely with D&D (Design & Development) and S&I (System & Integration) teams to deliver scalable and cost-effective solutions aligned with SCGP business direction.

Job Description

• Define and execute automation and machine development direction in alignment with SCGP business strategy
• Collaborate closely between D&D and S&I teams to ensure seamless integration and effective project delivery
• Develop and consolidate automation and in-house machine development plans, including technology strategy (Buy or Build) and technology partnership selection
• Manage and control automation and machine development projects, including installation and system development, to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and with optimal resource utilization
• Establish a sustainable automation ecosystem covering both buy and build approaches
• Support people development plans within D&D and S&I teams to build multi-skilled capability in IDT core technologies (Robotics, Vision System, Machine Development, Automatic Warehouse)

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics (Bachelor GPA > 2.70, Master GPA > 3.30)
• 1–3 years of working experience in engineering project management, robotics, automation, or machine development (open for new graduates)
• Knowledge in automation and engineering systems such as robotics, machine development, or automation projects
• Basic technical skills in areas such as PLC Programming, 2D/3D Design Drawing, Robot or Process Simulation, and programming tools (e.g. Python, Visual Studio)
• Good analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Good command of English in verbal and written (TOEIC Score > 550)
• Willing to work onsite at SCG Packaging PCL (Ban Pong, Ratchaburi)
