Mechanical Project Engineer (Rayong based) - NPI, Chemicals business

Key Role and Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical engineering works in alignment with project requirements and production needs
• Plan, control, and monitor installation works, as well as the improvement of machinery and equipment
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculation sheets, and related technical documents
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and contractors to ensure that work is executed according to plan
• Manage mechanical engineering projects to ensure they are completed within budget, timeline, and safety standards
• Inspect and evaluate the performance of machinery, equipment, and utility systems
• Support process improvement initiatives, cost reduction programs, and operational efficiency enhancement activities
• Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety, occupational health, and environmental standards
• Prepare reports on work progress, issues, and improvement recommendations for supervisors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum GPA of 2.70 for undergraduate and 3.30 for postgraduate studies
• Good command of English (TOEIC score of 550 or higher)
• At least 1–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or engineering project work
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems such as machinery, piping systems, chilled water system, HVAC system, air compressors system and other related mechanical equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including P&ID, Mechanical Drawings, and General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
• Proficiency in engineering and office software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, or other related programs
• Good analytical, planning, problem-solving, and coordination skills
• Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) will be an advantage
• Holding a valid Professional Engineering License (PEL) will be an advantage
• Willingness to work in Rayong Province.
