About the job Insurance Management Associate Programme (iMAP)

What is the iMAP?
The Insurance Management Associate Programme (iMAP) is the flagship talent development designed and initiated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) to attract and develop young talent for Specialist & Leadership roles in this industry. Launched in 2009, as the Insurance Scholarship Executive Programme (IESP), it is a structured 2-year fast track talent programme that offers professional accreditation and certifications, on-the-job training linked to cross-functional rotations, mentorship, international exposure, and special activities. Since 2014, it has been renamed as the iMAP.
In addition to putting what you have learnt into practice, iMAP also provides a structured post-programme career development with a view to leadership.
As an iMAP candidate, you would enjoy/be exposed to:
- A work-study scholarship arrangement, where you take days off your office hour from 9 am - 5 pm to attend lectures and/or tutorials. You will be continue to be paid a full time salary during your lectures.
- Full sponsorship of internationally recognised professional qualifications awarded by The Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) and The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), UK (more details below) (valued at S$15,000)
- Cross-functional rotations across job functions such as Underwriting/Broking/Claims/Actuarial/Risk Management teams or Class of businesses such as Agriculture, Marine, Aviation, Trade Credit, Property, Business Development, Political Risk and Terrorism, Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions, and many more.
- Mentorship from experienced practitioners and leaders in the company and On-the-job training
- Special activities including site visits and talks arranged by the Singapore College of Insurance
- Overseas International Insurance Programme (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities / Duties
Successful candidates will hired by their respective companies (Not SCI) and be employed on a full time basis during the course of the programme and beyond.
You will be given up to 120 days off by your hiring company during your office hours to pursue the certification with your batch mates in the programme through lectures and tutorials, spending your time at SCI acquiring core technical skills and knowledge that will earn you professional designation - the ACII, awarded by The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in the United Kingdom.
In addition to the ACII, you will also earn the Certificate SCI (General Insurance), Diploma SCI (General Insurance & Risk Management) and Advanced Diploma SCI (General Insurance & Risk Management).
During non-lectures days, you will spend your time at your companies (Sponsoring Institutions) to acquire on-the-job experience in the various functional areas that will perfectly complement the academic component and develop you for future roles in your companies.
Relevant Requirements, Skills and Abilities
Singaporean
Bachelors Degree
Honours or Merit Degree
Fresh Graduates OR Graduates with not more than 1 year working experience (Graduated in 2025 or Graduating in 2026)
Strong verbal and communication skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills, agile mindset and can-do attitude.
Confident and outgoing personality, able to deal directly with the senior people
Ambitious and commiteted to develop a career in the Insurance or Reinsurance industry.
Undergraduates with no experience or backgroun in the financial industry are welcomed to apply
