Objective function

The Cold Chain Business Development Manager is responsible and measured for new business development of company's cold chain portfolio in an assigned geography. The CCBD may also support other local and global key accounts

as needed.

Duties and responsibilities

Duties / Tasks

  • Growth of new cold chain business with a heavy emphasis on new accounts and expansion of existing business.
  • Uncovers new opportunities and participates in the RFP process. Submits accurate, well-written professional proposals.
  • Articulate technical product specifications to customers and trans- lates to selling. Creates and follows cold chain strategy for growth and expansion.
  • Discovers additional growth potential at sites to which we're already supplying by cross-selling cold chain solutions and services.
  • Thoroughly understands and provides documentation to sales /product management on the following: competitive products and services, pharma organizations, key players and stakeholders within pharma organizations, market trends, customer systems and processes, and detailed customer needs.
  • From in-depth discussions with customers, understands their pro- cess and translates product technical capabilities to meet customer requirement and/or improve their process.
  • Uses CRM/ERP system to fullest requirement and transparency for visits, opportunities, customer information, and reporting.
  • Ensure 100% follow up to assigned leads from various marketing activities

Responsibility

Growth and development of new cold chain business

  • Documentation of competitive products, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Use of CRM/ERP system
  • Submission of proposals and presentations to customers.

Requirements / Experience

Education and qualification (special knowledge)

  • 4-year degree, technical equivalent, or related work experience (masters desirable)
  • 5+ years of highly successful related sales or account management experience
  • Deep understanding of the cold chain markets.
  • Existing relationships with cold chain key contacts and decision makers
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Experience in technical consultancy, project management in the context of sales processes
