Front Office Medical Receptionist (Podiatry)

Are you an organized, people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment? We are seeking a Front Office Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients while helping ensure the smooth daily operation of a busy podiatry practice.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building positive patient relationships, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to a collaborative healthcare team. You'll play a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience while supporting both administrative and operational functions of the practice.
What You'll Do:
Patient Experience & Front Office Operations
- Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassion
- Check patients in and verify demographics, insurance information, referrals, and authorizations
- Answer and manage multi-line phone calls efficiently
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
- Collect copays and patient balances while processing payments accurately
- Maintain and update patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Scan, upload, and organize medical documentation
- Coordinate communication with pharmacies, imaging centers, insurance providers, and referring physicians
- Help manage appointment flow to support efficient patient scheduling
- Address patient questions and concerns with excellent customer service
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Administrative Support
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Assist with office organization and daily workflow management
- Perform clerical duties, including filing, faxing, copying, and data entry
- Support diabetic shoe documentation and related paperwork as assigned
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training opportunities
- Provide additional administrative support during busy periods
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to support exceptional patient care
- Assist with various office functions as needed
- Adapt to changing priorities and workflow demands
- Maintain a positive, professional, and solution-oriented attitude
What We're Looking For:
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Experience verifying insurance benefits and authorizations

Employment Information:
All new team members participate in a 90-day introductory period. During this time, performance, attendance, professionalism, communication, teamwork, and overall fit within the practice will be evaluated.
