Food Lab Assistant (Tiong Bahru)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare food ingredients and assist during practical lessons.
• Ensure safe food handling and maintain cleanliness of utensils, equipment and food laboratories.
• Order ingredients and manage inventory and stock records.
• Assist teachers and students during practical sessions.
• Check and file invoices and keep track of ingredient costs.
• Perform other food laboratory duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum Primary 6 education.
• Able to converse and write in English.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of food ingredients and food preparation.
• At least 1 year of relevant food preparation experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene Course is preferred.
• School or commercial kitchen experience is an advantage.

Duration/Working hours:

1 year contract (Option to extend another year) (Jan 2027 to Dec 2027)

Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of
1/2hr lunch break
Fridays: 7:30am to 1:30pm (no lunch break)

Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
