Science Lab Technician (Outram)

• Prepare classrooms and organize science equipment and materials for experiments and demonstrations.

• Assist teachers and students during experiments, performing routine maintenance on lab equipment and reporting issues.

• Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and chemicals, monitoring stock levels and coordinating replenishment.

• Enforce safety SOPs, supervise students during lab activities, and assist in basic safety training.

• Maintain cleanliness and proper disposal of waste and hazardous materials.

• Document incidents, inventory, and safety protocols accurately.

• Support teachers in planning lab activities and developing instructional materials.

• Assist with school photography for events and participate in safety drills and emergency response procedures.

Requirements:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.

• Team player with initiative.

• Preferably 1 year of relevant experience.

12 months (Option to extend another year) (Feb 2026 to Feb 2027)

Mondays to Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm, inclusive of ½ hr lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
