About the job Library Officer (Clarke Quay)
The Library Officers key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Process all library loans, returns and reservations; create/maintain user memberships;
handle inter-library loans; track and follow up on overdue items.
Manage daily newspaper operations - receive and distribute papers; maintain physical
newspaper collection; update and inform users of newspaper passwords changes.
Manage digital content - upload publications to the intranet; create and maintain SharePoint
e-Alerts for staff.
Maintain library collection - conduct shelf reading; refresh display shelves; shelve books;
maintain complimentary publications master list; liaise with suppliers on deliveries and
claims; process new publications; assist in weeding and stocktake exercises.
Answer simple enquiries regarding loans, circulation and collection.
Support library outreach through EDM creation and display management.
Perform administrative duties - forward alerts to officers; send out and update Welcome
Notes; maintain staff movement records; perform other library duties as required.
Requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Meticulous with excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good customer service skills
The Library Officer is required to work onsite at the office on a daily basis.
Proficient in computer skills and familiar with SharePoint, with understanding of library
operations
Diploma with minimum 2 years of library working experience
Duration/ Working hours:
1 year contract (Immediate)
42 hours per week
