The Return Right Ambassador will be deployed at designated Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) locations to engage and assist the public during operational hours.

You will educate residents on the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS), guide them on the proper use of RVMs, and support smooth on-site operations.

Under the scheme, a 10-cent refundable deposit applies to eligible pre-packaged beverages in plastic and metal containers (150ml–3L). Customers receive a refund when containers are returned at designated points.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate the public on identifying eligible BCRS containers

  • Guide residents on proper use of Reverse Vending Machines

  • Promote correct recycling practices and address basic queries

  • Monitor RVM usage and report operational issues

  • Maintain a neat, approachable presence

  • Keep the deployment area tidy and safe

Work Requirements

  • Commit to the full 3-month period

  • Willing to work evenings/weekends, including occasional short-notice deployments

  • Comfortable standing for extended periods

  • Punctual and reliable

Requirements

  • Friendly and confident in engaging the public

  • Able to communicate clearly in English (other languages/dialects a plus)

  • Basic knowledge of recycling preferred (training provided)

  • No experience required; customer service experience is an advantage

Duration/ Working hours:

3 months contract (Apr 2026)

  • Up to 5 days per week (including weekdays and weekends)
  • Up to 40 hours per week
  • Each RVM session lasts 2 hours (e.g., 9am–11am, 12pm–2pm, 3pm–5pm)
  • Breaks provided between sessions
  • Shift timings may vary based on operational needs
  • Daily working hours (up to 8 hours) include travel time between RVM locations
  • Deployment locations may vary across Singapore
