About the job Science Teacher Aide (Kovan)
Support hands-on STEM learning for students by assisting teachers, maintaining labs, hydroponics systems, and makerspaces, and ensuring safe, engaging, and well-organised learning environments.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare materials, apparatus, and resources for lessons, experiments, workshops, and assessments

Support teachers during hands-on lessons, enrichment programmes, and design challenges

Maintain STEM resources, makerspace tools, and hydroponics systems

Guide students in observations, experiments, and project-based learning

Keep learning spaces clean, safe, and well-organised
-
Track equipment, manage stocktaking, and maintain resource records

Assist in school events, professional development, and other duties as assigned
Requirements
-
Minimum GCE O-Level; 2+ years in a similar school role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in MS Office

Knowledge of Science/STEM and lab experience preferred

Hands-on, organised, safety-conscious, and creative
-
Enjoys problem-solving and working with students
10 months contract (Mar 2026 to 28 Feb 2027)
During school terms and March/September holidays
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday: 7.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Service not required on Saturday, Sunday and gazetted public holidays
During June and December school holidays
- Monday to Friday: 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
Service not required on Saturday, Sunday and gazetted public holidays
