Work Scope
- You may be part of the project team to assist the engineer and supervise IWMF construction progress. The work scope includes:
- To work with project consultants and key stakeholders, such as other government agencies, on the design of the various facilities in IWMF and ensure that IWMF is constructed, erected, installed in accordance with design specifications and complying with statutory requirement.
- To participate in the testing, commissioning of mechanical, process, or electrical, instrument, control, and automation equipment/systems.
- To attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) at local and overseas factories to witness and verify quality and performance of major equipment/systems.
- You may be part of the technical team to assist the engineer in operation and maintenance of TSIP. Your work scope includes:
- To lead a unit of technical specialists and coordinate maintenance work between contractors and maintenance sections to ensure the safe, smooth, and efficient operations of the waste-to-energy facility.
- To implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs for the facility's electrical and control equipment such as turbo-generators, motors, switchgears, low tension and high-tension equipment, distributed control system and field instruments.
- To administer contracts for the operation and maintenance of mechanical, EICA or building services equipment.
- To enforce permit-to-work system and safe work culture including supervising contractors work for quality and safety.
- To assist in the formulation and preparation of standard operating and safety procedures, equipment testing/changeover programme.
- To perform shift work in a waste-to-energy facility, if needed.
- To assist engineer to implement initiatives on safety and continuous improvement to enhance the safety culture and standards within the plant, as well as drive projects to achieve operational excellence.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in any Engineering course or Nitec in any Engineering course.
- For Diploma holders, preferably with 3 years of relevant working experience. Fresh diploma graduates can be considered.
- For Nitec holders, preferably with 6 8 years of relevant working experience.
- Candidates with professional certification e.g. Licenced Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant Certificate, Workplace Safety Health Officer, will be given preference.
- Good technical background and strong analytical skills. Knowledge in solid waste management would be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and preferably in Navisworks and Primavera P6.
- Mature, independent, resourceful, and a good team player.
- Good interpersonal communication.
- Able to work in waste-to-energy facilities.
- Able to perform rotating shift work over public holidays and weekend if necessary.
