Social Worker (Yishun)

Job Responsibilities

• Engage identified students regularly to provide mentoring and emotional support
• Build positive relationships with students and contribute to their holistic development
• Plan and conduct student-centric interventions (outreach, home visits, family sessions)
• Facilitate group-based programmes for students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs
• Identify student concerns and escalate cases to school leaders and support teams
• Participate in case review meetings with counsellors, SEN officers, and school personnel
• Support referrals to external agencies and community services when required
• Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and progress updates

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Community Development or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in social work, youth work, counselling, or related helping profession
• Experience in casework or school-based support preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary school environment
• Empathetic, patient, culturally sensitive, and able to manage at-risk youth
• Strong professional boundaries and resilience
