About the job Temporary Programme Facilitator (Frontline) (City Hall)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain materials and props at installation spaces daily, ensuring sufficient supplies before opening

  • Engage families and explain installations to enhance learning about Singapores history and heritage

  • Facilitate interactive activities and encourage curiosity about artefacts

  • Promote family bonding through active participation in activities

  • Observe and record visitors behaviours and engagement levels

  • Track visitorship numbers using a clicker

  • Administer the self-guided Artefact Hunt and manage prize redemption

  • Assist visitors with general enquiries related to the event

  • Support on-site programmes (e.g. registration, introductions, feedback collection)

Work Schedule:

  • Minimum 15.5 days to maximum 20.5 days during contract period

  • Mandatory half-day on 29 May (2.00pm – 6.30pm)

  • Majority of shifts fall on weekends

  • 9-hour shift (inclusive of 1-hour break)

  • Must be able to work weekends and public holidays as rostered

Requirements:

  • Enjoy interacting with children and families; experience engaging children with special needs and/or seniors is an advantage

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, highly interactive frontline environment

  • Able to stand for extended periods with standard breaks

  • Punctual, reliable, and consistent attendance record

  • Strong interpersonal skills – approachable, attentive and patient

  • Good command of spoken English

  • Team player with ability to coordinate with fellow staff
