About the job Psychologist (Novena)
As a Contract Psychologist in the Crime Pyshology Division in PPSD, you will support psychological research and assessment work focused on scam victims and restriction order programmes. You will undertake specialised projects that enhance evidence-based approaches to crime prevention and victim support, particularly in addressing challenges posed by scam syndicates targeting vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities

Support the conceptualisation and review of scam assessment programmes, including defining programme scope and parameters.

Develop entry/exit criteria for scam support programmes and conceptualise outcome evaluations.

Review and develop evaluation data collection tools, including semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and databases.

Conduct data transcription, cleaning, and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data.

Write technical reports for internal use to support victim care efforts.

Prepare academic reports for potential journal publication.

Create presentation materials for training, seminars, and conferences.

Support the implementation of trauma-informed practices, particularly in victim support.

Conduct training and assessment work for various courses.

Perform other duties as assigned by the unit.
Requirements

Degree in Psychology or a related field.

Experience in psychology or behavioural sciences, particularly in applied forensic work, victim support, or related fields, is advantageous.

Experience in research settings and project management.

Strong understanding of statistics and proficiency with statistical software.

Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

Proficiency in spoken and written English, with strong analytical skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work with sensitive populations and handle confidential information.

Understanding of trauma-informed approaches is advantageous.
