Monday: 7:30am to 6.00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
Tuesdays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 3:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
Friday: 7:30am to 1:00pm
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Job Description

1. To prepare lesson materials
preparation of ingredients/equipment/materials before each practical lesson batching of ingredients for all classes based on recipe given check quality of both dry and perishable foods available in the food labs before using it

2. To maintain food lab hygiene/cleanliness and general safety carry out regular domestic cleaning to ensure cleanliness of kitchens before and after practical sessions tidy up preparation room in the food lab
ensure prompt and proper disposal of food lab refuse conduct safety check on electrical appliances, main and sub-gas pipes to ensure that they are switched off at the end of the practical sessions ensure that appliances/equipment are in good working condition through regular checks

Others:
- assist teachers from other departments who may require the use of the food labs in terms of equipment - preparation or checking of ingredients
- assist teachers during inter-school culinary competitions in terms of preparation of ingredients, utensils and cleaning of kitchens
- assist Nutrition and Food Science Club teachers in running of activities by supporting them in material preparation and housekeeping
- assist FCE teachers in the conduct of practical lessons

Requirements

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
I. Has at least GCE A Level or Diploma qualification
II. Has experience with the subject (e.g. done the subject as a student, done relief teaching for the
subject etc)
III. Is open and passionate about working with adults (school staff) and teenagers (students)
IV. Has at least 1 year experience working in a school
