About the job Reception Counter Staff (Tampines)

Looking for a dedicated and friendly individual to support the smooth running of our school's General Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support, including reception duties, for daily operations.
  • Handle phone calls, walk-ins, and general enquiries from parents, students, and the public.
  • Provide first-level assistance to sick or injured students; escalate serious cases to colleagues.
  • Relay messages and concerns from parents to relevant teachers.
  • Manage office stock of stationery, pantry items, and first aid supplies.
  • Assist in counting, sorting, and distributing brochures, leaflets, and other items.
  • Maintain and replenish forms in the General Office.
  • Ensure tidiness of the reception area at all times.
  • Prepare correspondence and documents.
  • Receive and sort mail and deliveries.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience.
  • GCE 'O' Level or equivalent.
  • Pleasant, people-oriented disposition with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in reception, customer service, or working with students in schools.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications.

Duration/ Working hours:

8 months contract (Option to extend another 12 months) May 2026 to Dec 2026

  • Mondays to Fridays: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
  • Any additional working hours will be compensated by Off-In-Lieu (Time-Off) subject to approval from supervisor.
  • Working hours may vary at times depending on the school's needs
  • Lunch time of 30 mins must not be used for Time-Off.
