About the job Reception Counter Staff (Tampines)
Looking for a dedicated and friendly individual to support the smooth running of our school's General Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support, including reception duties, for daily operations.
- Handle phone calls, walk-ins, and general enquiries from parents, students, and the public.
- Provide first-level assistance to sick or injured students; escalate serious cases to colleagues.
- Relay messages and concerns from parents to relevant teachers.
- Manage office stock of stationery, pantry items, and first aid supplies.
- Assist in counting, sorting, and distributing brochures, leaflets, and other items.
- Maintain and replenish forms in the General Office.
- Ensure tidiness of the reception area at all times.
- Prepare correspondence and documents.
- Receive and sort mail and deliveries.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience.
- GCE 'O' Level or equivalent.
- Pleasant, people-oriented disposition with good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in reception, customer service, or working with students in schools.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
Duration/ Working hours:
8 months contract (Option to extend another 12 months) May 2026 to Dec 2026
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
- Any additional working hours will be compensated by Off-In-Lieu (Time-Off) subject to approval from supervisor.
- Working hours may vary at times depending on the school's needs
- Lunch time of 30 mins must not be used for Time-Off.
