About the job Student Guidance Officer (Woodlands)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide students during arrival, dismissal, recess, transitions and school activities.
  • Conduct school walkabouts and monitor student behaviour and safety.
  • Supervise detention, reflection sessions and other assigned consequences.
  • Support staff in managing student incidents and maintaining records.
  • Build positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Assist with school programmes, events and logistical arrangements.
  • Perform basic administrative, operational and general school support duties.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by School Leaders or Key Personnel.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma / 'A' Level / 5 O-Level passes including English, or equivalent.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with children/youths or in a school/community setting is an advantage.
  • Patient, responsible, firm and fair when engaging students.

Duration/Working hours:

1 year contract (Sep 2026 to Sep 2027)

  • Monday: 7.00am – 5.30pm
  • Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 7.00am – 3.15pm
  • Thursday: 7.00am – 5.30pm
  • May be required to work during school holidays, examination periods, school events, programme days and other non-instructional periods as required by the school.
  • During non-student periods, duties may include administrative, operational, programme and general school support.
  • Duties may be adjusted according to the school's operational needs.
  • Candidates should be flexible and willing to take on other reasonable duties assigned by the School Leaders or Key Personnel.
