Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Specialist VA to manage financial tasks, support accounting functions, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance or accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update financial records, including income, expenses, and transactions.

  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, statements, and spreadsheets.

  • Assist with bookkeeping and reconciliation of accounts.

  • Monitor cash flow and budgets to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments promptly.

  • Support payroll processing and employee expense tracking.

  • Handle tax-related documentation and compliance (as instructed by management).

  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and team members regarding financial matters.

  • Use accounting software and tools to manage financial data securely.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Assistant, Accountant, or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Wave) and MS Excel or Google Sheets.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.

  • Good communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Tools & Knowledge:

  • QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, or similar accounting tools

  • Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite

  • Basic understanding of payroll and tax compliance (a plus)
