Our client is a reputable and well-established company with good workplace culture. They are seeking an experienced Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance team, oversee daily operations, and ensure their course continues to meet the highest standards of playability, safety, and aesthetics.

Job Summary

The Course Superintendent will be responsible for proposing, managing, and supervising all maintenance activities of the golf courses. This includes turf and landscape management, staff leadership, equipment upkeep, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritize, and monitor course conditions, staff productivity, and training programs, adapting plans to changing conditions.
  • Roster and supervise course maintenance staff, schedule and allocate equipment, and inspect course areas to maintain top standards.
  • Conduct daily course inspections and prepare weekly maintenance summaries.
  • Oversee course setup for tournaments, club events, and special functions.
  • Manage stock inventory of fertilizers, insecticides, and fungicides, including monthly stock-taking.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new maintenance staff.
  • Maintain staff records, including attendance, overtime, and medical documentation.
  • Ensure turf health through mowing, fertilization, aeration, topdressing, irrigation scheduling, and water conservation practices.
  • Oversee the maintenance of bunkers, SubAir system, and related course features.
  • Supervise repair and servicing of equipment, machinery, and course facilities.
  • Assist in planning and administering annual budgets for course maintenance and capital improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll, inventory, weather data, maintenance procedures, and pesticide applications.
  • Contribute to landscape and horticultural projects within the club premises, including tree planting and other improvement works.
  • Liaise between Golf Operations and Course Maintenance teams, and prepare monthly updates for Greens Sub-Committee and staff meetings.
  • Support tender preparation, procurement, and contractor management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (WSH, PUB, NEA, SCDF, NParks, etc.).

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of golf play, course design, and turf management practices.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in golf course or turf management.
  • An eye for detail, with a results-driven mindset and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate a large, diverse workforce.
  • Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented attitude with experience working in multi-ethnic environments

Work Hours

Mon - Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
