 Job Description:

CharteredPartners is seeking an experienced business resilience professional to join our client in Dubai at Director level. The successful candidate will lead operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management advisory delivery, shape the firm's resilience proposition, and contribute to origination across regulated and listed clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management advisory engagements across banking, insurance and corporate clients.
  • Help clients identify important business services, set impact tolerances and map dependencies across people, technology and third parties.
  • Advise institutions on UAE Central Bank and DFSA resilience expectations within the DIFC and ADGM ecosystems.
  • Design and test crisis management, incident response and recovery frameworks, including scenario exercises and severe-but-plausible testing.
  • Integrate resilience with operational risk, third-party risk and the three lines model.
  • Originate and convert new engagements, building relationships with chief risk officers, heads of operations and boards.
  • Develop the firm's resilience methodology and specialist team.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A recognised credential such as CIA, CRISC, CBCI, MBCI or a comparable risk or resilience qualification.
  • At least ten to twelve years in operational resilience, business continuity or operational risk, including senior advisory delivery.
  • Strong command of operational resilience principles, including impact tolerances and important business services.
  • Practical knowledge of the regulatory environment across the DIFC, ADGM and the UAE Central Bank.
  • Familiarity with ISO 22301 business continuity and the three lines model.
  • Understanding of NESA and Dubai cyber-resilience expectations as they intersect with continuity planning.
  • Awareness of UAE data-protection requirements relevant to recovery and incident management.
  • A record of leading teams and managing concurrent engagements to budget and quality.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to financial services, aviation, energy or critical-infrastructure clients.
  • Experience aligning resilience programmes to international standards such as the Basel principles for operational resilience.
  • Familiarity with third-party and supply-chain risk management.
  • A track record of origination or material business development contribution.
  • Active standing within the IIA, ISACA, the BCI or a regional risk community.
  • Experience integrating resilience tooling and dependency-mapping platforms into client operations.

Compensation:

Competitive package commensurate with seniority and experience, including base, performance-based bonus, long-term incentives and (where applicable) partner-track participation.
