Corporate Tax Senior Manager - Singapore

CharteredPartners is seeking an accomplished Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join a leading accounting-firm practice in Singapore. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of corporate income tax compliance and advisory engagements end to end, acting as the principal day-to-day point of contact for a diverse base of corporate and multinational clients. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical delivery, IRAS submissions and the supervision of a developing team across both Singapore corporate tax and emerging BEPS 2.0 obligations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of corporate income tax compliance engagements end to end, overseeing computations, estimated chargeable income filings and IRAS submissions to deadline.
- Deliver corporate tax advisory work spanning group structuring, withholding tax, tax incentives (including EDB-administered schemes) and cross-border transactions.
- Advise clients on transfer pricing documentation requirements and support the preparation of local and master files.
- Assess and quantify the impact of BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two obligations, including the Multinational Enterprise Top-up Tax and Domestic Top-up Tax effective from 2025.
- Act as the principal day-to-day client contact, managing expectations, timelines and the resolution of technical queries.
- Supervise, review and develop a team of executives and assistant managers, providing technical coaching and quality control.
- Support engagement economics through budgeting, billing and work-in-progress management.
- Contribute to proposals and business development alongside directors and partners.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- A recognised professional accounting or tax qualification, with SCTP accreditation (Accredited Tax Practitioner or Accredited Tax Advisor) and / or ISCA membership strongly preferred.
- Substantial post-qualification experience in Singapore corporate income tax within a public accounting firm or comparable advisory environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the Singapore Income Tax Act, GST at 9% and the prevailing 17% corporate income tax regime.
- Demonstrated experience managing corporate tax compliance cycles and IRAS correspondence.
- Practical familiarity with transfer pricing documentation and withholding tax obligations.
- A developing command of BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two mechanics and their application to multinational groups.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements concurrently while maintaining technical quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to advise senior client stakeholders.
- Experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Sound commercial judgement and an organised, deadline-driven approach.
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to clients across financial services, technology, manufacturing or regional holding structures.
- Experience advising on Singapore tax incentive applications and negotiations.
- Familiarity with GST advisory in addition to corporate income tax.
- Involvement in Pillar Two readiness assessments or implementation projects.
- A track record of contributing to practice development and proposal work.
- Experience coaching and mentoring within a structured review framework.
Compensation:
Competitive package commensurate with seniority and experience, including base, performance-based bonus, long-term incentives and (where applicable) partner-track participation.
