CharteredPartners is seeking an experienced audit professional to join our client in Singapore at Senior Manager level. The successful candidate will manage statutory audit engagements end to end, supervise and develop teams, and act as the principal day-to-day contact for clients while supporting the engagement partner through to sign-off. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of statutory audit engagements from planning through to completion under the Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA).
• Act as the principal day-to-day contact for client finance teams, coordinating information flow and resolving queries.
• Review the work of seniors and associates, ensuring file quality and the appropriate documentation of audit judgements under SFRS(I).
• Prepare and clear review points for the engagement partner, supporting timely sign-off.
• Monitor engagement budgets, recovery and team utilisation, flagging overruns early.
• Supervise, coach and appraise audit staff, supporting CA (Singapore) progression.
• Contribute to proposals and scoping for new and recurring engagements.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Chartered Accountant of Singapore, CA (Singapore), or holder of an equivalent recognised qualification such as ACCA or ICAEW.
• Several years of post-qualification external audit experience, including engagement management responsibility.
• Strong working knowledge of the Singapore Standards on Auditing and SFRS(I).
• Experience managing audits of private and, ideally, SGX-listed entities.
• Demonstrable ability to run multiple engagements concurrently to deadline and budget.
• Sound understanding of independence, ethics and quality requirements for audit work.
• Effective review skills and attention to documentation quality.
• Confident communicator able to manage client relationships directly.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• A track record of developing and retaining junior staff.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience within a mid-tier or larger firm with a registered public accountant population.
• Exposure to group audits and coordination with overseas component teams.
• Sector familiarity in areas such as real estate, manufacturing, technology or services.
• Awareness of IRAS reporting interactions and the tax dimension of audited accounts.
• Progress towards eligibility for ACRA public accountant registration.
• Experience contributing to practice development and proposals.

Compensation:

Competitive package commensurate with seniority and experience, including base, performance-based bonus, long-term incentives and (where applicable) partner-track participation.
