The role requires the incumbent to lead the development of technical solutions for customer projects, serving as the central interface between customers and the engineering team. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of electrical and power electronics engineering to deliver high-quality, customized solutions that meet both customer and internal requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Solution Coordination: Lead cross-functional engineering efforts to develop technical solutions for customer quotes, analyzing requirements to decompose them into architectural blocks and system designs.
  • System Level Design: Perform system-level design of microcontroller-based modules for electronics and power electronics products, including the creation of mechanizations, block diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Requirements Management: Manage and ensure compliance with product requirements, including ASIL decomposition and cybersecurity controls, utilizing tools like Polarion and Doors.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate project development costs, encompassing personnel, capital, and expenses, to support budgeting and project planning processes.
  • Customer Interface: Act as the key technical liaison with customers, preparing and presenting technical review presentations and managing product technical documents.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Engage in cost improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date industry knowledge on automotive propulsion solutions and technologies.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical/Power Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electronic product design, preferably within the automotive or power electronics sectors.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid foundation in hardware embedded systems, electric and hybrid electric vehicle drive systems, and familiarity with inverter, DCDC converter, onboard charger, battery management systems, or motor control.
  • Specialized Skills: Knowledge of ASPICE, functional safety, cybersecurity development, and high voltage power semiconductor technology (Silicon IGBT, SiC MOSFETs) is highly preferred.
  • Tools Proficiency: Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion, Doors) and a comfort level working in a fast-paced, multi-program environment.
