About the job R&D Manufacturing Engineer

The role requires the incumbent to work closely with the R&D and Manufacturing Operations teams to integrate innovative technologies into product designs and manufacturing processes. The candidate will play a crucial role in process development, line validation, and ensuring adherence to clean room protocols and quality regulations within the medical device industry.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electromechanical engineering activities to integrate new technologies into future products.
  • Implement improvements to manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Initiate and coordinate manufacturing improvement activities and projects.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for the assembly of the companys products, both internally and with external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing discipline, cleanroom protocols, and housekeeping standards.
  • Complete assembly builds and tests on schedule, following required specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Generate necessary documentation for manufacturing stations.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers as needed for manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team in problem-solving and troubleshooting activities.
  • Willingness for regional travel as required by the job.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in product development and manufacturing within the medical devices or biomedical engineering sector.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities and a hands-on approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interactions with teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Proactive, independent, and self-motivated with a keen interest in professional growth.
  • A good team player, willing to assist teammates and take on additional responsibilities.
  • A strong passion for product commercialization.
