Responsibilities

  • Design and Development Leadership: Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of automotive components, with a focus on High Voltage Bulk Capacitors, using established engineering processes to meet customer specifications.
  • Technology and Process Innovation: Lead the development and adoption of new technologies and processes, ensuring alignment with industry advancements and organizational goals.
  • Problem Solving: Utilize engineering science and sound judgment to address and resolve complex engineering challenges, enhancing product performance and reliability.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee mechanical/process activities to ensure project milestones are achieved, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Manufacturing Support: Provide ongoing technical support during pilot runs, test production start-up, and for existing products, facilitating a smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
  • Cost and Quality Management: Contribute to meeting departmental cost and quality objectives, optimizing resources to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in automotive engineering, with a strong background in design and development projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in design and analytical methodologies, with expertise in chemical nanofilm deposition, polymerization processes, and capacitor packaging design considered a plus.
  • Innovation: Demonstrated ability to lead innovation in engineering processes and product development, with a keen interest in emerging technologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, capable of applying engineering principles to address complex issues effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent communication abilities, facilitating clear and effective interactions with manufacturing teams, project stakeholders, and customers.
