The role requires the incumbent to lead in the design, development, and implementation of advanced automotive electrical systems, including High Voltage Inverters, Power Devices, and Engine Control Units. Responsibilities

  • Electrical System Design and Development: Spearhead the design and development of automotive electrical systems, focusing on high voltage inverters, power devices, and engine control units, aligning with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Component Evaluation and Selection: Lead the evaluation and selection of new components, such as Silicon/Silicon Carbide power devices and capacitors, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.
  • Technology Innovation: Drive the development and adoption of new technologies and processes, enhancing the companys engineering capabilities and product offerings.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and training to team members on electrical design competencies, acting as a technical resource and mentor.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate electrical engineering activities across projects to meet defined objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Manufacturing Support: Offer technical support during pilot runs, test production start-up, and for existing products, facilitating seamless transitions from design to manufacturing.
  • Quality and Cost Management: Achieve departmental cost and quality objectives, implementing strategies to optimize resource allocation and product quality.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, with a strong preference for candidates specializing in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in the automotive industry, with a comprehensive engineering background in mechatronics, electrical machines, power electronics, and software.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical system design and development, with expertise in complex systems integration.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and drive technological innovation within a team.
