Security Support Engineer (IAM/Cloud) (M/F/D)

As a Security Support Engineer (IAM/Cloud), you are the technical backbone between cutting-edge identity products and mission-critical customer environments. You own complex incidents, keep systems healthy, enable partners to help themselves, and turn insights into durable fixes and knowledge. Substance over show.

Your Mission:

  • Own the support lifecycle: Work L2/L3/Consulting tickets end-to-end; meet or beat SLAs with clear, proactive comms.
  • Be a technical detective: Analyse integration logic and system flows; collect logs/configs/repro steps; build a complete picture before proposing solutions.
  • Resolve critical incidents: Diagnose, troubleshoot and fix complex issues; escalate to Product, Engineering (L3) or Consulting when needednever drop the baton.
  • Enable users & partners: Guide customers through docs and the Nevis Academy; answer questions and coach for self-sufficiency.
  • Capture knowledge: Document root causes, workarounds and runbooks; grow the internal knowledge base.
  • Streamline communication: Keep Zendesk Jira perfectly in sync; provide crisp, timely status to users and management.
  • Monitor & maintain: Respond to alerts in Azure; perform routine maintenance (updates/backups) on cloud & suite test environments (incl. new versions).
  • 24/7 readiness: Join the on-call rotation to provide critical coverage outside business hours.
  • Coordinate effectively: Triage feature/change requests, align with Product Management and schedule stakeholder meetings.

What you bring:

  • Education: BSc/MSc in IT/CSor equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in a customer-facing engineering role (support/SRE/professional services).
  • Cloud & containers: Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud (Azure or AWS).
  • Networking & security: Solid grasp of load balancers, WAF, DNS, HTTPS, SSL/TLS.
  • Data & CI: Basic SQL (e.g., MariaDB/Oracle/PostgreSQL); familiarity with GitHub Actions.
  • Soft skills: Exceptional English written & verbal skills; calm under pressure; proactive, service-centric, solution-oriented.
  • Nice to have: IAM standards (OAuth2/OIDC/SAML), federation, SSO, reverse proxies; Scripting/automation (Bash/Python), Helm/Terraform, observability (Prometheus/Grafana); ITIL practices (Incident/Problem/Change), runbook automation, post-mortems.
