Healthcare Billing Specialist

Seattle Search Group is partnering with a growing healthcare organization to identify a Revenue Cycle Specialist to support expanding financial and revenue operations.

This is a remote opportunity for someone with experience in billing, accounts receivable, collections, payment reconciliation, and financial operations. The position will initially have a strong focus on research-related billing and collections while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and Operations.

The ideal candidate enjoys improving processes, working with financial data, and using technology to make revenue cycle operations more efficient and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage invoices based on contractual agreements, budgets, payment milestones, and established billing terms.
• Monitor accounts receivable and proactively follow up on outstanding balances.
• Manage a high volume of billing and collection communications with external partners and internal stakeholders.
• Reconcile customer and sponsor payments to bank activity and research payment discrepancies.
• Assist with revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close support.
• Maintain accurate billing, payment, and financial records within applicable systems.
• Review contracts, budgets, amendments, and payment schedules to validate billing requirements and revenue expectations.
• Perform quality-control reviews of financial and billing information to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance.
• Partner with Operations and Finance to resolve billing questions and maintain accurate financial tracking.
• Identify opportunities to streamline billing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
• Leverage technology and automation to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Analyze recurring issues and recommend improvements to revenue cycle workflows.
• Support additional revenue cycle activities as the organization grows, which may include payment posting, reimbursement support, claims-related activities, and other financial operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in revenue cycle, billing, accounts receivable, collections, accounting, or related financial operations.
• Healthcare, clinical research, life sciences, or similar industry experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing contracts, budgets, payment terms, or billing schedules strongly preferred.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working with financial systems, spreadsheets, and technology.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work effectively across Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams.
• Interest in process improvement, automation, and building more efficient financial workflows.
