Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Compensation: $130,000 – $170,000 base + bonus
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead financial planning and performance analysis for a growing business unit. This role partners closely with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives, enhance forecasting and budgeting capabilities, and deliver clear, data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, sound business judgment, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to executive and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and maintenance of forecasting and budgeting models

  • Oversee headcount planning and workforce forecasting

  • Analyze profitability, KPIs, cash flow, and operating performance

  • Prepare executive and board-level financial reports

  • Provide insight into financial trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A cycles

  • Improve management reporting through automation and standardization

  • Support income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis

  • Advise leadership on financial impacts of business decisions

  • Communicate financial results to cross-functional teams

  • Mentor and coach financial analysts

  • Support process improvement and technology initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • 8+ years of relevant finance or FP&A experience

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred

  • Strong forecasting, budgeting, and modeling experience

  • Advanced knowledge of financial statements and GAAP

  • Proven executive-level presentation skills

  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or operations environments is a plus

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Excel (advanced modeling)

  • Power BI / Power Query / Power Pivot

  • Hyperion

  • ERP systems
