Compensation: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour

Role Overview

The Materials Handler is responsible for safely moving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials throughout the facility. This role supports production, inventory accuracy, and logistics operations while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Material movement — Safely move materials using forklifts and other equipment.
• Material issuing & receiving — Issue and receive materials for job orders and inventory.
• Shipping & logistics — Load, unload, pick, pack, and ship customer orders.
• Crate & pallet building — Build crates and pallets as needed for shipments.
• Cycle counts — Perform daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Recordkeeping — Maintain accurate records of materials and shipments.
• Freight coordination — Coordinate with freight carriers and support shipping logistics.
• Safety compliance — Follow all safety procedures, complete required training, and perform daily equipment checks.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations
• Forklift experience required (crane/rigging experience a plus)
• Basic math & computer skills
• Reading drawings & BOMs — Ability to read drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions
• Inventory control — Experience with inventory control and storeroom processes
• Shipping software — Familiarity with UPS systems and freight carriers
• Tool use — Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and packaging equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
