About the job Product Support Engineer
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems at the intersection of **analog, digital, and RF systems**? We're partnering with a **highly respected organization in the advanced communications space** to identify a Product Support Engineer who will play a critical role in sustaining and launching high‑reliability electronic products.
This position offers hands-on technical depth, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to influence products from early production through full lifecycle—without being stuck behind a desk.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll act as a bridge between design engineering and manufacturing, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure products perform as intended in real-world conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting electronic assemblies to the **component level** (analog, digital, and/or RF)
- Investigating production yield issues and driving root-cause analysis
- Designing and executing engineering experiments to validate solutions
- Supporting new product introductions and resolving prototype issues
- Identifying and qualifying alternate components to address shortages or obsolescence
- Recommending design, process, and test improvements to enhance quality and throughput
- Partnering with Quality and Supply Chain on material and manufacturing issues
- Providing technical guidance and leadership to technicians and junior engineers
You'll work in a lab environment closely connected to manufacturing, with access to industry-standard test equipment and real hardware—not simulations alone.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of relevant experience (less with an advanced degree; more without a degree)
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills at the board and component level
- Experience analyzing and supporting analog, digital, and/or RF circuitry
- Comfort working independently while collaborating across teams
- Ability to lead small technical efforts and mentor others
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (no clearance required to start)
- Experience with complex communication systems, manufacturing environments, or component qualification is a plus—but not required.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Work on **mission-critical electronic products** with long-term impact
- High technical ownership without people-management burden
- Stable, well-funded environment with strong engineering culture
- Competitive compensation, full benefits, and relocation support if needed
Compensation:
Target base salary range: **$95,000–$160,000** (flexible based on experience and location), plus a comprehensive benefits package.
