Job Title: SAP Integration Architect
Type: [Full-Time/Contract]

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Integration Architect to lead the discovery, design, and implementation of SAP integrations across a complex enterprise landscape. This role will drive the technical strategy and architecture to connect SAP with both internal and third-party systems, ensuring a scalable, secure, and high-performance integration environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP Ecosystem Discovery:

• Lead a comprehensive technical assessment of the current SAP environment.

• Identify active modules, custom developments, interfaces, and integration touchpoints.

• Evaluate which components can be reused versus those requiring new integration logic.

• Document existing interface protocols, security configurations, and system dependencies.

• Collaborate with key business and technical stakeholders to confirm integration feasibility and constraints.

2. Integration Strategy & Architecture:

• Design a robust SAP integration architecture using SAP PI/PO and standard SAP connectivity frameworks.

• Define and document integration flows between SAP and external platforms including:

  • OSIsoft PI (real-time data)

  • Oracle Service Bus (middleware)

  • Cloudera (data lake)

  • GIS tools and dashboards (e.g., Kibana)

• Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and technical specifications.

3. Technical Leadership & Coordination:

• Serve as the central integration point of contact for all SAP-related technical initiatives.

• Coordinate with developers, data engineers, and system owners to validate data mappings and interface logic.

• Provide architectural oversight to SAP ABAP and PI development teams.

• Lead design reviews, validation sessions, and proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives.

4. Compliance, Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all SAP integration work complies with internal cybersecurity policies, performance requirements, and system resilience standards.

• Contribute to test case design and support UAT and SAT phases.

• Assess interface performance, error handling, and recovery processes.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in SAP Technical Architecture with a focus on integration.

• Deep hands-on experience with SAP PI/PO and related technologies (IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web Services).

• Proven ability to integrate SAP with external systems such as OSIsoft PI, Oracle Service Bus, ETL tools, and dashboards.

• Strong capability in SAP system discovery, technical documentation, and dependency mapping.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience working across cross-functional technical teams.
