Engineering / Site Lead (Jakarta SCBD)

Reports to: CEO and COO (Sydney)

Remuneration: Rp 30,000,000 - 38,000,000 per month gross 

Mission

Launch and grow Refracts first offshore engineering hub, acting as both player‐coach and cultural champion.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architecture oversight across front‐end, back‐end, and infrastructure.

• Run agile ceremonies, manage sprint delivery, and own release cadence.

• Hire, mentor, and develop a cross‐functional squad.

• Liaise with Sydney stakeholders across time‐zones.

• Steward reliability, security, and cost‐efficiency using best‐practice platform tooling.

Requirements

• 8-10 years building SaaS on public cloud platforms.

• 2+ years in a player‐coach or team‐lead capacity.

• Strong experience with modern programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Go, Python) and with container‐orchestration, infrastructure‐as‐code, and CI/CD tooling.
• Excellent spoken and written English; comfortable in client‐facing architecture sessions.
• Bonus: Proven cloud‐cost‐optimisation achievements; experience with compliance audits (SOC 2 / ISO 27001).
