The Role

As the lead developer, you will work closely with the different Leads (Business / Creative / Project management). You will lead in conversations with integrated teams and finalise technical solutions for brands. You will be the go-to person for defining the final build and data structure of the project. You will also lead teams to identify project scopes, project plans and approve related SOWs.

To complete the above, applicants should be versatile and have solutions for both short and long term projects. 


Job Description and Responsibilities


  • Strategic input

    • Lead the solutioning process within an integrated client team

    • Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements

    • Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow

    • Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements

  • Technology

    • Strong core JavaScript proficiency, including familiarity with one or more MV* frameworks

    • Solid grasp of HTML and CSS, leveraging CSS pre and post processors like Sass, Compass and Autoprefixer

    • Demonstrated understanding of task runners such as Grunt, Gulp or Webpack

    • Experience using GIT as part of a development team

    • Experience/interest in native app development

    • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences

Requirements

You sweat the details, are careful in planning and are bold in communication. You prefer rolling your sleeves up and getting your hands dirty to fix the problem.

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience

    • 4-6 years experience working with information technologies and systems analysis

    • Strong computer, hardware, software, and analytical skills

    • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions

    • Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with database maintenance and data security

    • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems

    • Working knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages

    • Excellent analytical skills

    • Comfortable speaking to internal and external stakeholders to establish solutioning

Good to have

  • Knowledge of UX/UI princok iples

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
