Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective music lessons for students in the band program.
- Instruct students on playing various musical instruments and developing their musical skills.
- Direct and lead the school band during rehearsals and performances.
- Coordinate and organize regular band practices to ensure ensemble cohesion and musical excellence.
- Provide one-on-one instruction to students who may need additional help or guidance.
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages individual growth and expression.
- Organize and coordinate band performances, concerts, and other events.
- Collaborate with other music teachers and school staff to ensure successful and well-coordinated events.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administrators about the band program's activities and achievements.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music education into the overall school curriculum.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Education or a related field.
- State teaching certification and licensure.
- Previous experience as a band director or music teacher preferred.
- Proficient in playing multiple musical instruments.
- In-depth knowledge of music theory, composition, and arranging.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and intercultural skills.
- Ability to effectively convey musical concepts to students with varying levels of experience.
- Genuine passion for music education and a commitment to fostering a love of music in students.
- Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities.
- Strong demonstrable Christian faith.
- A biblical worldview on Education.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia. Additional languages may be advantageous.
