Background: Introduction:

Shelter for Life International (SFL) is an international relief and development organization with 40 years of experience in providing sustainable development and humanitarian assistance to countries around the world.

SFL opened its office in Afghanistan in the year of 1998, funded by multiple donors such as BPRM, USG, USDA and WFP. SFL has a rich experience and provides assistance to the following areas; Agriculture Development, Food Security, livelihood and emergency, shelter and population settlement, microcredit, infrastructure development, health and nutrition.

Job Summary: The Food Process Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs on food safety and processing techniques to beneficiaries. This role involves creating user-friendly training materials, conducting practical, hands-on sessions, and ensuring beneficiaries understand hygiene protocols, food safety standards, and equipment operation. The trainer assesses learners' progress, provides ongoing support, and continuously refines training content to meet evolving needs. Additionally, the role includes maintaining accurate records, managing tools and equipment, and certifying beneficiaries upon successful completion of training programs.

Key Responsibility: Create and adapt training materials for beneficiaries.

Develop easy-to-follow guides on food safety and processing.

Conduct hands-on, practical training sessions for beneficiaries.

Explain food safety standards, processing techniques, and equipment operation.

Ensure beneficiaries understand hygiene and safety protocols.

Assess beneficiaries' learning progress through practical tasks.

Modify training based on feedback and performance outcomes.

Keep records of attendance sheets and progress.

Provide certificates or completion records to beneficiaries.

Offer post-training support and follow-up to ensure knowledge retention.

Continuously refine training based on evolving needs.

Keep the tools and equipment in the best manner

Qualification/Requirements: Experience with dishwashing products or chemical safety.

Basic Education

Prior training experience (preferred) but not mandatory for those passionate about teaching.

Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Ability to simplify instructions and make training accessible.

Patience and a positive attitude toward beneficiaries learning.

Ability to motivate and support diverse learners.

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on hygiene and safety.
