Our client is a leading global Tier-1 supplier specializing in power electronics for the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) industry. With an extensive engineers team and a robust intellectual property portfolio, they provide high-performance customized solutions—including On-board Chargers (OBC) and DC/DC Converters—to the worlds top-tier automakers. As they accelerate their expansion with major French OEMs, they are seeking a high-caliber Field Application Engineer to serve as the vital technical bridge between their French partners and their global headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Technical Liaison: Act as the primary technical interface for French automotive customers (OEMs/Tier-1s) during the design-in, integration, and mass production phases.
- Solution Integration: Provide onsite support for product debugging, system integration, and software flashing, ensuring power solutions align perfectly with the vehicles electrical architecture.
- Strategic Alignment: Facilitate seamless communication between local clients and the global R&D team to clarify technical requirements and expedite project timelines.
- Onsite Problem Solving: Perform deep-dive diagnostics and root cause analysis (RCA) for complex technical issues, coordinating with headquarters to implement hardware/software updates.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor local industry trends and standards (such as ISO 26262 or French EV regulations) to provide feedback for next-generation product development.
Requirements
- Education: Masters or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or Automotive Engineering.
- Experience: 3+ years in a technical role (FAE, System Engineer, or R&D) within the automotive or power electronics sector.
- Language Proficiency: Mandarin: Professional working proficiency (Essential for daily technical synchronization with the global R&D and product teams). French or English: Fluent (Essential for technical negotiations and documentation with French clients)
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of power conversion (AC/DC, DC/DC), CAN bus communication, and automotive diagnostic protocols.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset, customer-centric attitude, and the ability to work independently in a cross-cultural environment.
