Our client, a leading international SMT equipment manufacturer and supplier renowned for its advanced inspection technologies, is currently seeking a skilled and customer-oriented SMT Equipment Engineer (Focus on AOI & SPI). Moving away from traditional factory shift work, this role offers an exciting opportunity to act as a technical brand ambassador. You will be responsible for providing high-level technical support, machine installation, programming, and troubleshooting for major electronics manufacturing clients.

  • Responsibilities

    • On-Site Technical Support: Conduct installation, commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of 3D SPI and AOI equipment at customer factory sites.
    • Programming & Optimization: Assist clients in creating, debugging, and optimizing inspection programs for New Product Introductions (NPI) and mass production to minimize False Alarm Rates.
    • Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repair services to ensure minimum downtime for clients' SMT lines.
    • Technical Training: Provide professional operational and maintenance training to the clients' internal engineering teams and local technicians.
    • Customer Relations: Act as the first line of technical contact, addressing client inquiries, correlating defect data, and reporting complex hardware/software issues back to the global headquarters.

    Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in SMT manufacturing, with strong proficiency in maintaining and programming AOI/SPI systems.
