Job Title: Food Safety Inspector - Cat C-E London Location: London, UK Salary: Competitive, based on experience Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Overview: We are currently seeking a Food Safety Inspector to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting food safety inspections in the Cat C-E category, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular food safety inspections in accordance with the Cat C-E category regulations - Evaluate and assess food premises, processes, and practices to ensure compliance with food safety laws and regulations - Identify potential hazards and risks and provide recommendations for corrective actions - Inspect food storage, handling, and preparation areas to ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices are being followed - Review and analyze food safety records and reports to identify areas for improvement - Provide guidance and support to food businesses on food safety regulations and standards - Investigate and respond to food safety complaints and concerns - Collaborate with other food safety professionals and agencies to share information and best practices - Keep up-to-date with changes in food safety laws and regulations and attend relevant training and development opportunities - Prepare accurate and detailed reports of inspections and findings - Provide advice and recommendations to businesses on food safety practices and procedures Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in food safety inspections, preferably in the Cat C-E category - Knowledge of food safety laws and regulations in the UK - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards and risks - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Good time management and organizational skills - Proficient in using technology and software for inspections and report writing - Willingness to travel within London for inspections - Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for transportation to inspection sites We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for career growth and development.
