Job Title: Sales Intern - Cold Storage Solutions
Location: Nairobi
Reports to: Business Development Manager
Duration: 6 months, with possibility of extension
About the Role
We are seeking energetic and results-driven sales interns to support the promotion and adoption of our mobile, solar-powered cold storage solutions. This internship offers hands-on experience in sales, customer engagement, and agribusiness market development, with a focus on reducing post-harvest losses for farmers, traders, and agribusinesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Support lead generation activities, including field visits, cold calls, and social media outreach.
- Educate potential customers (farmers, traders, cooperatives, exporters) on our cold storage solutions and rental/purchase options.
- Assist in preparing and delivering sales pitches, proposals, and product demonstrations.
- Gather and document customer feedback to help improve product offerings.
- Maintain updated customer databases and sales tracking reports.
- Participate in exhibitions, market days, and stakeholder forums to promote the brand.
- Work closely with the business development team to follow up on leads and close sales.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree (or ongoing studies) in Sales & Marketing, Agribusiness, Business Management, or related field.
- Passion for agriculture, sustainability, and technology-driven solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and willing to work in both field and office environments.
- Ability to engage with farmers, cooperatives, and agribusiness stakeholders.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, Google Workspace); familiarity with CRM tools is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel within assigned regions.
- Previous sales experience (even in school projects or volunteer roles) is an added advantage.
