1.1 Job Scope Summary

The Tipping Floor Attendant performs a variety of tasks in support of the overall facility, mainly centered around the Tipping Floor and the associated activities within that specific area. The Tipping Floor Attendant is a dynamic role, requiring a variety of skills in order to best support the entire operation of the process plant.

1.2 Job Responsibilities

Physical Tasks

  • Coordinates all vehicle movements on & in the vicinity of the Tipping Floor
  • Performs general housekeeping and cleaning in there area of responsibility
  • Works with and assists team members in performing a variety of tasks
  • Uses hand tools and power hand tools
  • Operates Fork Lift and Front End Loader as & when required

General Tasks

  • Follows all facility safety rules and procedures
  • Follows instructions given by supervisors
  • Reports promptly any breaches of HSE procedures to supervisor / management
  • Attend HSE Inspections, audits, assessments, and daily/weekly meetings
  • Participates in and promotes company health, safety & environmental campaigns, initiatives, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times
  • Understand and complies on company policies and procedures

1.3 Educational/Professional Qualifications/Training Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ONC/GCSE or equivalent
  • NVQ or GNVQ
  • City & Guilds

1.4 Job Experience and skills

  • Background in waste management would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Computer literate and familiar with technology such as tablets
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Impeccable time keeping
