Electrical & Automation Engineer - CAPEX Projects

Scope of the role

The Electrical and Automation Engineer will oversee the management of CAPEX projects, focusing on electrical and automation systems. This includes conducting feasibility studies, developing project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery. The role requires coordination with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage electrical and automation aspects of CAPEX projects from conception through completion.

2. Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and specifications for automation and electrical systems.

3. Provide technical guidance and support during installation and commissioning of electrical and automation systems.

4. Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial guidelines.

5. Ensure all electrical and automation systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and performance.

7. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and technical specifications.

8. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 02 years of experience in a manufacturing or project management environment.
• Certification in PMP will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in advanced process control, distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, supervisory control, data acquisition and industrial instrumentation will be an added advantage.
• Fast learner who can adopt new technologies, creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to think critically with a high level of numeracy.
• Good communication, interpersonal and strong teamwork skills, with an ability to motivate and lead teams and projects.
