Our company is seeking a Remote (Based in Saskatoon, SK) Part Time Payroll Specialist (~20 hours a week) who will be responsible for the implementation of ADP and ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly, monthly and bi-weekly payrolls for all employees and maintaining payroll records while optimizing payroll processes.

If you are a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) with project management experience implementing ADP and have 10 years experience processing payroll for a Canadian company, then this job is for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a project lead on the implementation of ADP.
  • Process payroll in compliance with federal and provincial legislation and internal policies.
  • Review timekeeping records for accuracy, promptly addressing, and resolving any identified discrepancies.
  • Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll which includes the storage, updating and retrieval of financial data.
  • Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Perform routine payroll-related duties and filing.
  • Prepare monthly statements.
  • Inform employees about payroll matters related to onboarding and offboarding.
  • Compile statistics and reports.
  • Prepare T4 statements and other statements.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of post secondary education in accounting, payroll, finance or a related field of study.
  • Completion of Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP).
  • 10 years experience in payroll and T4 preparation within Canada is required.
  • Experience with implementing ADP is a must.
  • Strong computer and technology knowledge: MS Office Applications and Quick Books.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented team player, with a commitment to high quality work.
  • Client focused.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Reliable.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
