About the job Bookkeeper
SIEL Human Solutions, on behalf of our client, is looking to hire a Part-Time (25-30 hours a week) Bookkeeper based in Saskatoon, SK. Our client manufactures and distributes a broad range of equipment utilized in the industrial and mining industries.
As a bookkeeper you will provide high-level administrative, analytical, and operational support in the areas of bookkeeping, payroll and AR/AP. to the company while assisting with ad-hoc accounting projects.
If you have post-secondary education in business or finance with a minimum of 5 years business experience including bookkeeping, payroll and AR/AP, then this role is for you! Candidates that are highly organized, proactive, have strong communication skills; and have the ability to manage multiple priorities while managing confidential information with integrity and discretion will be well suited for this role!
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable and receivables, government remittances
- Month and year end duties
- Cost Centre analysis, monthly internal cost review
- Bank reconciliations
- Filing and maintaining all financial records
- Other tasks as required to meet our client and operational requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business and/or finance, or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum five years of business experience including: bookkeeping, payroll, AR/AP, month and year end duties
- QuickBooks experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Use of customer procurement sites including SAP, Oracle, and ARIBA
- Small business experience is an asset
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency and accuracy in work product, including high attention to detail
- Self-motivated with critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to maintain confidential information
