Senior Corporate & Commercial Lawyer
Location: Abuja
Salary: 500,000 - 600,000

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate & Commercial Lawyer to provide expert legal and compliance advisory services. This senior managerial role focuses on corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, licensing, and advisory services across various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong corporate/commercial law background and proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring junior lawyers. This position does not involve court litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and advise on contracts, corporate policies, and compliance documents.

  • Manage company registrations, licensing, and regulatory filings with CAC, CBN, SEC, LIRS, EFCC, AMLC, etc.

  • Provide strategic legal and compliance advisory across sectors such as tech, oil & gas, construction, procurement, and investment.

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise junior lawyers to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • 6-7 years post-call experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably in a corporate law firm or similar environment.

  • Deep expertise in corporate registrations, regulatory compliance, licensing, and corporate governance.

  • Exceptional legal drafting and advisory skills for contracts, policies, opinions, and compliance documents.

  • Proven leadership experience, including supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to provide practical, business-aligned legal solutions.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal tech tools.
