Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our reputable health and pharmaceutical organization in Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing professional pharmaceutical care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional service to patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Dispensing & Pharmaceutical Care

  • Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications.

  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulations.

  • Provide proper medication counselling and education to patients.

  • Monitor patient medication therapy for potential interactions, side effects, or contraindications.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to PCN (Pharmacists Council of Nigeria) standards and all relevant regulatory guidelines.

  • Maintain proper documentation, drug registers, and controlled drug records.

  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and management of medications in line with standard operating procedures.

Inventory & Store Management

  • Supervise stock levels and manage reorder processes.

  • Conduct regular inventory audits and check for expired or damaged drugs.

  • Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.

Customer Service & Professional Support

  • Deliver excellent customer service and respond to client inquiries professionally.

  • Assist in supervising pharmacy technicians and other support staff.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized institution.

  • Must be a licensed and registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).

  • 24 years of relevant work experience in a retail, hospital, or community pharmacy setting.

  • Strong knowledge of drug interactions, dosage requirements, and pharmaceutical regulations.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency with pharmacy management software is an added advantage.
