Job Summary
Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy and Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) space, is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Head of Business Development to drive revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion across Nigeria and Africa.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in positioning the organization as a top provider of sustainable energy solutions, delivering innovative power solutions to SMEs, corporates, estates, and public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Revenue Generation

Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy

Drive sales across:

Solar energy solutions

Hybrid energy systems (solar + storage + backup)

Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) offerings

Consistently meet and exceed revenue and growth targets
2. Market Expansion (Nigeria & Africa)

Identify and penetrate new markets across:

Commercial & industrial sectors

Real estate developers

Government and public sector

Lead market entry strategies into new regions and countries
3. Strategic Partnerships

Build and manage relationships with:

EPC contractors

Energy equipment providers

Financial institutions

Telecom and infrastructure partners

Structure and negotiate high-value commercial agreements
4. EaaS Commercialization

Design and implement subscription-based energy solutions

Develop innovative pricing models including:

5. Pipeline Development & Deal Execution

Build and manage a strong sales pipeline

Lead negotiations and close high-value deals

Oversee proposals, costing, and contract structuring

Drive customer satisfaction and repeat business
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

8. Market Intelligence & Strategy

Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments

Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
Experience

Minimum of 15+ years in business development or sales leadership
