Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Head of Housekeeping to lead and manage our housekeeping operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards, supervising housekeeping staff, and ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering quality service.


Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

  • Hire, train, supervise, and schedule housekeeping staff.

  • Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback and guidance.

Operations Oversight:

  • Ensure efficient daily operations within the housekeeping department.

  • Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.

  • Oversee laundry and linen services (where applicable).

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas.

  • Enforce high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.

Guest Relations:

  • Respond promptly to guest concerns and complaints related to housekeeping.

  • Ensure guest satisfaction and a positive hospitality experience.

Inventory & Budget Management:

  • Control inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.

  • Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets and cost controls.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.

  • Maintain records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or related field is an advantage.

    • Certifications or Diplomas in Housekeeping or Hotel Management are desirable.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years in a housekeeping role, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position.

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Knowledge of modern housekeeping techniques and equipment

    • Budget and inventory management proficiency

    • Customer service excellence

    • Strong attention to detail and time management

    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
