Front Desk Officer 

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Salary: 150,000 - 180,000 Monthly
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a hospital, clinic, diagnostics lab, or healthcare facility
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday (8am-5pm)
Preferred Start Date: Immediately Available
Gender: Female preferred (for front-facing customer roles)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a smart, well-groomed, and patient-oriented Front Desk Officer to join our healthcare facility in Yaba. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in a medical or diagnostic center, be proficient with CRM tools, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and computer skills. You must be teachable, able to multitask, and ensure patients have a seamless front-desk experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and attend to all patients, visitors, and vendors professionally

  • Register patients and ensure proper documentation into the clinic or diagnostic system

  • Manage appointment bookings, walk-ins, and follow-up calls using CRM or EMR software

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

  • Collect payments and issue receipts where necessary

  • Provide accurate information on services offered and direct patients accordingly

  • Maintain a neat, organized, and professional front desk environment

  • Answer and route telephone calls; respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in-person

  • Liaise with medical and administrative teams to ensure coordinated patient care

  • Handle patient complaints or concerns politely and escalate when necessary

  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards in all operations

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • OND/HND/B.Sc. in Business Administration, Mass Communication, Public Health, or related field

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a healthcare environment (hospital, diagnostics center, medical office, etc.)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook)

  • Familiarity with healthcare CRMs or EMRs (e.g., Clinify, Helium, Medipal)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Smart appearance, friendly personality, and strong customer service orientation

  • Ability to manage stress, work in a fast-paced setting, and remain professional

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to healthcare-specific technologies
